Job Description & Responsibilities:-
Compliance Engineering empowers its activities by developing and managing a suite of software platforms and applications. At Goldman Sachs, a team of over 300 engineers and scientists tackle the firm’s most complex, mission-critical challenges. This talented team leverages the latest technology and vast troves of structured and unstructured data to build responsive, intuitive UX/UI and Big Data applications. Incorporating cutting-edge AI and efficient processes, Goldman Sachs leverages modern frameworks to drive these innovative solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and anomaly detection models to process massive volumes of trading and trade-related data.
Provide technical direction to leverage the most relevant technologies for diverse business use cases.
Adapt optimal technologies and drive the adoption of the latest innovations across engineering teams.
Implement processes and procedures to maximize the overall quality of software development.
Develop an understanding of evolving regulatory frameworks and leverage cutting-edge technologies to manage firm-wide regulatory and reputational risk.
Develop and institutionalize best practices around coding, testing, scalability, stability, quality, code reviews, and operational readiness across teams.
Collaborate with local and global teams to facilitate technical discussions, decision-making, standard code architecture, and early identification of potential blockers.
Negotiate data contracts and capture data quality metrics to address a broad range of business problems.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess an MBA, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
Additionally, 1+ years of hands-on experience in software development is required.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and designing end-to-end enterprise-grade solutions, including expertise in automated testing and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly express ideas and arguments, both in meetings and in written form, are essential.
Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies is preferred: Java, Spark, Hadoop, Flink, MapReduce, HBase, JSON, Protobuf, Presto, Elastic Search, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
Expertise in Java or another object-oriented programming language, as well as demonstrated experience with databases and data manipulation, is highly desirable.
The candidate should also have a solid background in data analysis, utilizing tools such as SQL, Spark SQL, Zeppelin, and Jupyter.
